. Digital Prints for Open Editions
Giclée InkJet or LightJet C-Type Prints
Produced from a very high resolution scan of the image, using Imacon scans, these prints are made using high-quality fine art paper print using specialized inkjet printer (Giclée) or by exposing specialised, light-sensitive photographic paper to light (LightJet C-type).
Giclée: tiny droplets of varying size are deposited with extreme precision onto the surface of the desired paper. The result: an image of exceptional quality offering brighter colors, crisper details and long-lasting color.
LightJet C-type ("Chromogenic"): the digital image is projected on to photographic paper by laser, instead of tradition light bulb and enlarger. The paper is then developed and washed using traditional photographic techniques to produce an actual photographic print, color or B&W. In addition to full-colour photographic prints, the running of true black and white prints using fibre-based B&W paper, the most stunning results are achieved blowing large formats.
. Hand Prints for Limited Editions
Traditional Dark Room Prints, handcrafted
Some see it as old school, but we see it as an art form – printing photographs by hand is highly specialized skill and is almost as important as the eye of the photographer!
A master printer specialising in classic Black & White enlargements or Colour negatives (C41) is involved in a high skilled process requiring time and talent. This printing process is performed from the direct use of the negative, the photographic film, giving the opportunity of limited edition numbered and signed.
