In contrast to the plight faced by the Muslims of Rohingya, Kyaik Htee Yoe offers an intriguing Buddhist pilgrimage site in Mon State. A small pagoda is built on the top of a granite boulder covered with gold leaves, pasted on by devotees and which for some, fly to open skies...
The rock is a truly extraordinary natural feature, its great weight is precariously balanced on the cliff edge, kept in place by "a single hair" of the Buddha.
